Your sweater-perfect yarn is here! This yarn comes from happy Gulf Coast Native (GCN) sheep on Joanne Maki's Georgia farm, where she is working to help preserve this critical sheep breed. I'm so happy to be partnering with Joanne to make this yarn available in the shop!
We have several other blends available, please just check the "Flock" tab. If you're into socks, the GCN/alpaca/nylon blend would be perfect!
We are happy to offer different weights and plies:
DK, 100% GCN, 3-ply, approx 250 yards / 4oz
Worsted weight 100% GCN, 3-ply, approx 200 yards / 3.5oz
Worsted weight 100% GCN, 2-ply, approx 178 yards / 3.5 oz
This yarn would be beautiful knit up in Kate Davies' new Sarkle sweater or Along Avec Anna's Louison pullover. It would also make gorgeous accessories. So many fun possibilities!
